What is CellCept 250mg?

The drug CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) weakens the body's immune system, preventing it from "rejecting" a transplant organ like a kidney. Organ rejection occurs when the immune system sees a new organ as an invader and attacks it.

It is used with other drugs to prevent organ rejection after a kidney, liver, or heart transplant. The drug is often taken with cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral) and a steroid medicine.
