Drug Prograf is what? Indications of the drug Tacrolimus
Prograf indications: Prevention of organ transplant rejection in patients with allogeneic kidney or liver transplant. Should be combined with adrenal corticosteroids. Due to the risk of hypersensitivity, Prograf is injected only when it cannot be administered orally.
The drug Prograf (tacrolimus) lowers the body's immune system. The immune system helps the body fight off infections. The immune system can also fight or "eliminate" a transplanted organ such as a liver or kidney. This is because the immune system treats the new organ as an invader.
Medications are used together with other drugs to prevent your body from refusing a heart , liver, or kidney transplant . The drug may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
